July 19, 2000 , my best friend, Paul Sparrow slipped away peacefully and began his new journey. He will always be remembered for his lust for life, great smile, and willingness to reach out to others. Paul was not only Vice President of the Florida Brain Tumor Association, but my traveling partner and confidant. Adjusting to life without him is still a very difficult challenge.

Everyone that knew Paul was touched by his honesty, his sense of humor and his determination to fight his brain tumor. Sadly, Paul lost his battle to his “ beast " but he never quit and never lost hope. His close friends at the FBTA dearly miss Paul and have never forgotten his spirit and the courage he always brought with him to every meeting. Although his life was cut short, he lived his life to the fullest, leaving the world a better, gentler place than it was before we were privileged to know him.
