The FBTA has been chosen as the 2009 benefactor for the Braingels Fundraising Project. This project was founded by a brain tumor survivor. As part of her rehabilitation from surgery, she was challenged to find ways to recover fine motor movement of her right hand which she had lost. She began beading and making jewelry and out of this, the project was born. To date, over $4,000 has been raised and donated to 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to the support and education of brain tumor patients and their families.
